WA:WA police happy with New Year's Eve
PERTH, Jan 1 AAP - Perth enjoyed a generally peaceful New Year's Eve with only a few
minor incidents, including scuffles and some unruly parties.
Mounted police had to break up a party in Spearwood, in Perth's south, after a report
that two people had arrived wielding baseball bats.
Police reached the scene at 10.30pm (WST) and found about 20 people fighting in the street.
About 150 people were ejected from the house and the party was shut down.
