VICTIMS OF 900-NUMBER SCAM WIN REFUND.(Living)

Consumers who paid $50 for phone calls in a credit and loan scam will be getting their money back.

State Attorney General Robert Abrams says some 650 consumers who dialed 900 USA- CARD believing they would be guaranteed a "gold card" with a $5,000 credit limit, or who called 900 USA-LOAN trusting they would receive a loan, will receive refunds under an agreement reached between his office and Kent Charugundia, the telephone service operator and his corporation 900 Services Inc. of Manhattan.

Abrams says consumers were deliberately misled to believe they could obtain loans or receive credit cards if they dialed the 900 numbers advertised in matchbooks distributed throughout the …
