Zammitt family and friends to hold memorial service

Friends and family of Sydney backpacker DOUJON ZAMMIT .. who died after being bashed
by bouncers on the Greek island of Mykonos .. gather in Sydney tonight at a memorial service
for the 20-year-old.

Hundreds of people are also expected to meet at Cecil Hills Lake .. where ZAMMIT played
as a child .. to light candles for him.

A 25-year-old nightclub bouncer has been remanded in custody by a Greek court over his death.

News limited says the bouncer's admitted in court he hit ZAMMIT .. but claims he didn't
intend to kill him.

Meanwhile .. two Australian brothers say they were savagely attacked on Mykonos in
almost identical fashion to ZAMMIT.

DAN and BRAD HECKENDORF .. from Cronulla but now living in London .. have told Fairfax
newspapers they were attacked after arguing with a taxi driver about getting change from
a trip.

They say the driver called at least 15 local friends who attacked them with baseball
bats .. batons and chains .. in July last year.
